Decoration Day

History of  Memorial Day
Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day when the ladies of the South decorated the graves of fallen soldiers. The red poppy later became the signature flower of Memorial Day inspired by the poem  In Flanders Field. I love me some trivia!
