Caring House Durham is thrilled to have Frances Schultz as the Keynote Speaker for their "friend raising" Bee Caring Luncheon on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 @ Durham's Convention Center. A North Carolina native, Schultz has a newly-released book The Bee Cottage Story. Each luncheon attendee will receive an autographed copy of this delightful new book! For nearly 25 years, Caring House has supported Duke Cancer
Institute patients by providing housing and a healing environment. Founded in
1992, Caring House provides comfortable, supportive, and affordable housing to
Duke Cancer Institute adult outpatients and their caregivers. It is a 12,900
square foot building that has 18 private rooms, each with a private bath,
phone, television, and DVD player. Founded in 1992 by Barbara Booth, Frankie
DuBose, Susie Leaming Huffines, Pat Joklik, Bunny Kerns, and Martha Erwin Uzzle
& continues to operate due to the countless individuals who donate their
time, talent and treasure to Caring House.
