Beth over @ Chinoiserie Chic featured small foyers today which reminded me I needed to post my updated foyer as I re-staged it for summer back in May. Yeah.... not one to rush my postings..... If this is your first time seeing the foyer the chevron lantern featured is the Bargello Lantern by Dana Gibson. This petite pagoda lantern comes in additional colors & designs; see it here in grey.
My sister & I tried
Above & below were my favorite but.... the space seemed to need a lamp to throw out the maximum welcoming effect @ night. My sister also thought it appeared the Foo Dog was gunning for Pinkie, my Audubon Flamingo. Nuff said.
Clean & serene but still no lamp....
I broke up a set of vintage blanc de chine pierced lamps from my bedroom to warm the welcome. Above & below is where we landed. Cool, Calm, Collected or is it Calm, Cool, Collected???
Beth has more great ideas for small foyers over on her Pinterest Board The Small Chinoiserie Foyer.
Here is a lamp I tried at one point but never took a picture as it
I absolutely LOVE your foyer, Junell!!! You know I'm crazy about flamingos and all things pink! :) It looks fantastic, great work!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
The Glam Pad
Oh yeah, it is right up your alley, thx! I am lov'n watching your reno!
DeletePersonally, I prefer the vignette with the foo dog and orchid in green pot. As a collector of foo dogs, I can assure you and your sister that one would NEVER EVER attack your flamingo, or any other member of your household. Their job is to protect, and what better spot to do that than the entry? In any case, I love the flamingo, the pink doors and the hanging lantern.
ReplyDeleteHa! I agree but she is my older sister... Nuff said if you get my drift & I'm a wimp.... I have the Foo Dog in a prime spot will feature him soon! Thx Ann.
DeleteI love the addition of the lamp, but TBH, I love each way you've done the styling. You and your sister have some skills!
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind! I will tell my sister. She was the one who tore the rest of my house apart.....
DeleteIt looks fabulous, Junell. I ran across this lantern and fell in LOVE - so happy to see it in action. Adore the flamingo and door color too! Happy Friday ~
ReplyDeleteThis foyer is fantastic! Love the color of the doors! Just found your blog and I'm a new follower!

DeleteCan you tell me the size of your print? Also, it's hard to tell, is it matted? Thank you.
ReplyDelete36" x 48" before trimmed. No matte, used a gold fillet with frame.
Deleteso sorry to bother you again but for the life of me I can't find where I linked to the exact flamingo print with Allposters. There are so many and I want to get the correct one. Thanks.
